A&W Restaurants opened its headquarters in Lexington on Wednesday. The restaurant chain's corporate staff will be based in office space in a building at Coldstream Research Campus.
Last year, Louisville-based fast food chain Yum Brands sold both A&W and Long John Silver's, which continues to be based in Louisville under its new ownership.
A&W is expected to have about 30 employees at its corporate headquarters and was preliminarily approved late last year for $600,000 in state tax incentives.
"We are very excited about the quality of staff we have been able to attract and look forward to becoming an integral part of the community as we grow our business from our new home here in Lexington," CEO Kevin Bazner said in a statement.
