Business closings, openings and anniversaries: Week of May 12
■ LM Communications Broadcast Media Group is celebrating 30 years of local radio broadcasting in Lexington. Lynn Martin, founder and owner of LM Communications, has five radio stations in Lexington, two radio stations in Charleston, S.C., five in Charleston, W.V., and sales agreements with two other stations. Martin also bought his first television station, WBKI TV, in Louisville in 2012.
LM Communication's Lexington radio stations are 96.9 KISS-FM (WGKS), B92 (WBVX-FM), YOUR 106.3 (WCDA-FM), 107.9 THE BEAT (WBTF-FM) and ESPN Sports Radio 1300 (WLXG-AM).
■ Taqueria Los Amigos, owned by Henry Clay High School senior Lourdes "Lulu" De La Cruz, has opened at 124 South Fourth Street in Danville. De La Cruz moved to the United States at age nine and volunteers at an English as a Second Language program for elementary students in Lexington.
Artwork created by some of the students she has worked with adorn the walls and ceiling of her restaurant.
Business hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
