Red Bang Bang to open build-your-own sushi restaurant at Fayette Mall

Red Bang Bang, the restaurant at 103 West Maxwell Street known for its dollar-a-scoop Chinese menu, is opening a second restaurant at The Plaza at Fayette Mall.

The second Red Bang Bang, which will open in mid-August at 3801 Mall Road, will have a different focus: It's a customizable sushi restaurant.

Patrons will choose their wrap, rice, protein, vegetables, toppings and sauce. The restaurant also will serve miso soup, edamame, crab salad, seaweed salad, and Japanese mochi ice cream in various flavors.
