Expansion begins for Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass; H&M, Abercrombie & Fitch to be added
The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass in Simpsonville broke ground Thursday on a 53,400-square-foot expansion. The phase two development, for eight new retailers, is to open in November.
Stores announced Thursday include H&M, the Sweden-based company known for its "fast-fashion" clothing; Abercrombie & Fitch; and Limited Express Outlet. A Johnny Rockets restaurant also is planned. The California-based chain serves hamburgers, fries and shakes.
The expansion comes less than nine months after the shopping center, at Exit 28 of Interstate 64, opened July 31.
The center, developed by Horizon Group Properties, features more than 90 stores, including a Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th, Coach, Kate Spade and Nike.
