Joe and Ricki Rosenberg have announced Bling for a Cause, a giving opportunity in partnership with Blue Grass Community Foundation and benefiting more than 100 nonprofits participating in the 2015 GoodGiving Challenge.
On Saturday, Joe Rosenberg Jewelers, 163 E. Main St., will donate 100 percent of all retail purchases to nonprofits in the GoodGiving Guide Challenge at BGgives.org up to $100,000 total. Custom orders, special orders, loose gemstones, and repairs are excluded from the offer.
The GoodGiving Guide Challenge, a yearly community-wide online giving campaign to benefit local nonprofits, is a partnership between Blue Grass Community Foundation and Smiley Pete Publishing. In addition to receiving contributions from individual donors, participating nonprofits are also challenged to compete for prizes provided by local businesses, philanthropists and the Community Foundation.
The 2014 GoodGiving Challenge earned over $1.7 million for participating local nonprofits. The GoodGiving Challenge runs through Dec. 31.
