Cabela’s, a specialty retailer that caters to outdoors enthusiasts, will open its Lexington store on March 16.
The store’s 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony will feature the ribbon being cut by an arrow shot from a bow.
The 72,000-square-foot store is at 1510 Conservation Way in the Hamburg Place II retail development near Interstate 75 and Man o’ War Boulevard. It will be Cabela’s third location in Kentucky. The others are in Louisville and Bowling Green.
The store will include stonework, wildlife displays and taxidermy mounts, outdoor photos and memorabilia, hand-painted murals, an aquarium and indoor archery range, according to a Cabela’s release.
It will also include an express café, Gun Library and Bargain Cave.
