Reporter/anchor Kristen Pflum leaving WLEX 18
Kristen Pflum, a popular reporter and anchor at WLEX-TV 18 in Lexington, is leaving the station after nearly 11 years.
Pflum is moving to a weekend anchor position at Fox 32 Chicago, according to posts on her Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Originally from Indianapolis, Pflum had worked in Fort Wayne, Ind., for WISE 33 News before coming to WLEX. She started out studying radio at DePauw University, but switched to television news. She graduated from DePauw in 2004.
In 2006, Pflum was named “best television news reporter” by the Kentucky Associated Press Broadcasters Association. In 2011, she was named “best news anchor” by the same organization.
Pflum had no immediate comment on her departure.
