Education
The KORE Academy: Beverly P. Henderson has been named the second director in KORE’s 13-year history. Henderson succeeds founding director Carol Douglas, who will remain at KORE as a teacher. Henderson, who will begin her duties June 1, is recently retired from Fayette County Public Schools and has 33 years of experience in teaching and administration.
Finance
Community Trust Bank: Terry L. Spears has been promoted to vice president and small business banking officer. He is responsible for managing the bank’s Small Business Administration loan programs. He is based at the main office in Pikeville.
Old National Bank: John Douglas has been named vice president, corporate relationship manager. Wesley Barringer has been named vice president, commercial lender. Both will be responsible for commercial lending in Lexington and Central Kentucky and will maintain offices at 249 East Main Street in Lexington. Kim Martin has been named commercial lending assistant.
Health care
Lexington Clinic: Dr. Marisa Belcastro, a family medicine physician, has joined the clinic. Board-certified in family medicine, Belcastro completed a residency in family and community medicine at the University of Kentucky, where she also received her medical degree.
Law
Thompson Miller & Simpson: Joey Wright has joined the firm as an associate. Wright previously was law clerk to Chief Justice John D. Minton Jr. of the Kentucky Supreme Court.
Organizations
Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky: Joe Baer, Kentucky Professional Fire Fighters; Dr. Robert Prichard, St. Elizabeth Health Care; and John Stovall, Teamsters 783, have been named to the board of directors.

AssuredPartners NL: Hays Featherston has been named a property and casualty producer in the firm’s Lexington office.
