These 30 Kentucky nursing homes have at least one COVID-19 patient
There were at least 30 nursing homes in 21 Kentucky counties with at least one confirmed case of COVID-19 among residents or staff as of 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
Long-term care facilities have proven to be deadly hot-spots for the novel coronavirus across the country, which is disproportionately killing older Americans and people who are medically vulnerable. There have been outbreaks in nursing homes in Adair, Butler, Jackson and Jefferson Counties, infecting dozens in the process.
“This virus comes for those who are most vulnerable,” Beshear said Friday.

- Nazareth Home, Jefferson: 2 residents; 1 death; 2 staff
- Signature Healthcare at Summit Manor, Adair: 37 residents; 1 death; 8 staff
Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center, Butler: 21 residents; 1 death; 24 staff
