Lexington reports 20 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, no new deaths

The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department announced Monday that 20 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the city over the weekend.

Of the 552 cases in the city since the outbreak began, 256 people affected have recovered from the illness, according to the health department. The city has had 12 COVID-19 related deaths, including three inmates at the Federal Medical Center off Leestown Road.

Since their own outbreak began, the Federal Medical Center has had 229 cases among inmates, according to the health department.
