Lexington reports 10 new coronavirus cases. No new cases at Federal Medical Center
Lexington reported 10 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday morning, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department. That number is down from the 20-case increases both on Tuesday and over the weekend.
There have now been 582 total cases in Fayette County with 12 deaths. There have been no new deaths yet this week, according to the health department.
Cases within the county have leveled out after spiking earlier in the month. Cases increased by as many as 72 in one day on May 12. That was largely due to an outbreak at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington. The prison had no new cases on Wednesday, according to the health department.
