Boil water advisory in Garrard County

Garrard County on Saturday was under a boil water advisory as a result of a major water line break in Lancaster, a dispatcher said.

As of 7 p.m., the advisory was in effect until further notice. The break occurred about 2 p.m.

People in Garrard County should not consume tap water unless it’s brought to a boil for at least three minutes, officials said.
