Roadwork to lengthen the turn lanes from Man o’ War Boulevard onto Alumni Drive will begin Monday night, bringing some impact on traffic, according to a news release.
The project is expected to take up to 90 days, taking between 30 and 40 days to complete each section.
The project’s first phase will lengthen the right turn lane from Man o’ War Boulevard onto Alumni Drive by about 300 feet, according to the news release from Municipal Engineer Senior Brian Hayes. Work will take place primarily during the day, and a portion of the turn lane will close during construction.
The project’s second phase will lengthen the left turn lane, primarily taking place at night to lessen the impact on traffic. The left lanes of Man o’ War in both directions between Pimlico Drive and Alumni Drive will be closed while being worked on.
