Roots & Heritage Festival celebrates 30 years in Lexington

Lexington’s Roots and Heritage Festival was held in downtown Lexington on Saturday.

Marking its 30th year here, the popular event celebrates African-American culture and features musical and dance performances, a parade, a marketplace and more.

The event concludes Sunday, with a Gospel Celebration beginning at 4 p.m. at the Lyric Theatre.
