A woman survived Sunday after falling 100 feet off a cliff near Raven Run Way Overlook in Lexington KY, officials said.

At about 3:40 p.m. Sunday, more than a dozen emergency crews arrived on Raven Run for a call of a high angle rescue/rope assist.

According to dispatchers, a woman had slid and fallen 100 feet off the cliff.

Maj. Jessica Bowman with the Lexington Fire Department reported the woman had “gone off trail” when someone called for assistance.

The woman was removed by boat and suffered injuries that are not life-threatening. She is being treated at a local hospital, according to Bowman.

A separate incident occurred at Raven Run at about 2:40 p.m., when emergency crews received calls of someone unconscious on the trail. A utility terrain vehicle used to remove the person from the trail.

The person was also transported to a local area hospital, officials said.
