The main runway at Blue Grass Airport was temporarily closed Thursday afternoon after the landing gear on a private aircraft collapsed while landing.

The accident occurred at about 2:30 p.m. and no one was injured, said Lauren White, the airport’s community relations manager.

By about 4 p.m., the plane had been towed off the runway, allowing flights to resume, White said.
