A section of the Interstate 64 in Central Kentucky has been blocked off due to downed electric wires, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

The closure is on I-64 around the Clark-Fayette counties border. The traffic management center said all lanes of the interstate are closed between exit 87 (Haley Road) and exit 94 (Bypass Road).

LG&E & KU’s power outage map shows a large outage near I-64 and Haley Road impacting 110 customers. The outage started at 10:09 p.m. Wednesday and isn’t expected to be restored until 9 a.m. Thursday.

The traffic management center said the road isn’t expected to reopen until around noon.
