Fayette County coroner identifies 22-year-old woman killed in I-75 crash

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a woman killed in a crash on the interstate in Lexington.

Liczi Lopez, 22, of Richmond, was declared dead at the scene of the crash at 5:30 a.m. Sunday. She died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries, and the coroner’s office ruled her death was accidental.

Police said the crash happened around 4:38 a.m. on I-75 near mile marker 110. It was a single-vehicle wreck that began in the southbound lanes before coming to rest in the northbound lanes.

Lopez was the only person in the car, according to police.

There have been 15 fatal collisions in Fayette County in 2025, according to Kentucky State Police data.
