Here’s what time July 4 fireworks start in Lexington — and how long they’ll last
The Independence Day holiday is Friday — and it’s time to make plans to go see fireworks.
Lexington’s July 4 fireworks show is set to start booming at 10 p.m. Friday, capping off a full day of patriotic celebration. The fireworks display will launch at R.J. Corman rail yard near Main Street and Oliver Lewis Way.
The show will last about 25 minutes, Lexington Superintendent of Cultural Arts and Events Amber Luallen said.
What’s the forecast for the fireworks?
Friday’s forecast, according to The Weather Channel, calls for a high of 91°F and a low of 69°F with a 5% chance of precipitation at night. Luallen said the fireworks show could go on through rain, but said bad wind could cause the show to be postponed.
If that happens, the fireworks will be rescheduled for July 5, at 10 p.m., Luallen said.
