A longtime Lexington store that offers new and used furniture is closing one of its two locations.

Another Man’s Treasure, which has been in business for 36 years, is consolidating its Regency Road store with its location at 507 East Third Street.

Owner Dennis Gibbs, who operates Another Man’s Treasure with his wife Dottie Gibbs, said they have sold the 2550 Regency Road building and expect to have everything moved out sometime in May.

“We’re selling through a lot of stuff right now,” he said Saturday.

Gibbs said the Third Street location, which opened in 1992 and is smaller than the Regency Road store, is being revamped to have a larger retail space.

The store announced its moving sale on social media this week.

The couple started the business on Brown Avenue in 1991 and are known for making upfront offers to people who want to sell their home furnishings. The store has an eclectic mix of antique and one-of-a-kind furniture and accessory pieces, along with new and closeout items.

“We’ve been in business for 36 years,” Gibbs said of the decision to downsize. “Just trying to lighten our load a little bit.”
