A section of Richmond Road is shut down Thursday morning while crews repair damaged power lines, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

The closure is between Chinoe Road and St Margaret Drive. The traffic management center did not provide a timeline for when Richmond Road could reopen.

Outbound traffic is being diverted to Chinoe Road while inbound traffic is being diverted to Lakeshore Drive, according to the traffic management center.

The power lines were damaged from an earlier collision.
