Pair indicted in 2008 cold-case slaying in Ellliott

An Elliott County grand jury has handed down an indictment in a 2008 kidnapping and murder case against two men who are already in jail on unrelated charges.

The indictment charges Elige Randolph and James "Bobby" Eden, both 35, in the kidnapping and murder of Robert Boggs and Chris Leadingham, according to a Kentucky State Police news release issued Friday morning.

Boggs was found in his home in Elliott County on Jan. 2, 2008, with a gunshot wound to his head. Two days later, Leadingham was found near Gordon Ford in Elliott County, also shot in the head, the news release said.

Police said additional charges and arrests are pending.

Randolph is in the Marion County Detention Center, and Eden is in the Daviess County Detention Center, according to the news release.

Police ask that anyone with information about the case call Kentucky State Police in Morehead at (606) 784-4127.
