Time changed for Paris police disciplinary hearing

The time for Wednesday’s police disciplinary hearing before the Paris City Commission has changed.

The continuation of the hearing is now scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday in the city municipal building at 525 High St. It was originally scheduled for 9 a.m. but Temple Juett, an attorney for the Paris City Commission, had a conflict and could not make it at that time.

The hearing began Monday so the commissioners could consider charges brought by Paris Police Chief Rob Williams against five officers who were suspended without pay earlier this month. Williams has recommended termination of each officer.
