Section of Mountain Parkway in Kentucky closed due to overturned cattle trailer
A section of the Mountain Parkway in Clark County is expected to be closed for several hours Wednesday because of an overturned cattle trailer, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The crash happened Wednesday morning in the eastbound lanes of the Mountain Parkway. The transportation cabinet said officials have blocked the road near mile marker 8, and the road will be closed until the early afternoon.
The Winchester Police Department said trucks will unload the cattle from the overturned trailer before a tow truck can get the trailer upright and clean up the scene. People are encouraged to avoid the area.
