A 15-year-old high school student from Central Kentucky died in an accident over the weekend, Clark County Public Schools Superintendent Dustin Howard announced on Facebook Sunday.

No details about the incident were provided, but Howard said Hayden Saylor, a freshman in the school district, died Saturday from injuries sustained in the accident. Counselors and support staff have been made available to anyone who needs them.

Howard said Hayden’s death has “deeply affected our entire school district community.”

“Clark County Public Schools is a community that cares deeply for one another,” Howard said in a Facebook post. “In the days ahead, we will lean on that strength.”

“Please keep Hayden’s family, friends, classmates, and all who knew him in your thoughts and prayers as we process this loss together.”
