UK to announce major gift Tuesday

The state’s flagship university is expected to announce a major donation at a ceremony on Tuesday.

University of Kentucky President Eli Capiluto as well as C.B. Akins, vice chair of the UK Board of Trustees, will announce the “multimillion dollar” donation at a ceremony at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Academic Science Building on the corner of Rose Street and Huguelet Drive, according to a written release.

How money from the donation will be used by the university will also be discussed at the Tuesday event, according to the written release.
