Girls invited to Be Bold at empowerment workshop

Be Bold, an annual girls’ empowerment workshop, will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 1 at Transylvania University. The workshop, designed for girls ages 9 to 18 and moms younger than 24, features tracks in theater, entrepreneurship, social justice and STEM.

Admission is $10 before Oct. 1 or $15 the day of the event, and includes a T-shirt and lunch. Scholarships are available. Register at Daretobebold.org.

Be Bold was founded in 2011 with the mission to empower girls by partnering with them to set and achieve tangible goals through entertainment, education and inspiration. Be Bold aspires to promote healthy self-esteem and positive body image by showcasing real women and girls who have learned to love themselves.
