Celebrate Indian culture, cuisine on Sunday at Moondance Ampitheater

India Day, a free event that brings Indian cuisine, culture, crafts, costumes and entertainment to the community, will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Moondance Amphitheater, Beaumont Circle Road.

The event is sponsored by the Bluegrass Indo-American Civic Society, a local group that represents India and the Indian origin community in Lexington, with more than 500 members. Each year, the society awards more than 15 scholarships of $1,000 each to local students and hosts a free annual health fair.

Membership to the society is open to everyone, not just those of Indian heritage. For more information, go to Biacs.org.
