So many Goblins: City adds shuttle to ease scary traffic jams at popular Halloween event

Lexington’s “Little Goblins Galore” Halloween event at McConnell Springs has become so popular in recent years it’s caused traffic jams and parking head aches along Old Frankfort Pike.

To ease congestion, the city is providing shuttles from nearby 1631 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington Waste Management Training Pad, to McConnell Springs. The new parking lots are across from McConnell Springs. No parking will be allowed at McConnell Springs for this Saturday’s event, city officials said.

Geared for children ages 12 and under, the event from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday will include a petting zoo, trick or treating and other special entertainment. The cost is $5 per child. Food and other drinks will also be sold throughout the day.

The handicap-accessible shuttles will run continuously throughout the event from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m.
