Domestic Violence Prevention Board to host candidate forum
The Domestic Violence Prevention Board will host a public candidate forum from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kentucky Theatre. The forum, moderated by Jack Pattie, will provide an opportunity for candidates to express their positions on issues related to family and interpersonal violence, sexual assault, child abuse, human trafficking and other issues.
The board invited all candidates for contested federal, state and local seats with districts in Fayette County to participate. The following candidates have confirmed they will attend: Nancy Jo Kemper for U.S. House; Pam Sigler, Gary McCollum and Rep. Kelly Flood for State House; Hon. Glenn Acree and Hon. Larry VanMeter for State Supreme Court; and Sasha Love Higgins for City Council.
