Fostering Goodwill needs gift cards, cash for foster youth this holiday season

Fostering Goodwill is in need of some goodwill to make the holidays special for area foster youth and their children.

The organization will hold its eigth annual Christmas party for current and former older foster youth Dec. 15 at Gattitown. In addition to free pizza and games, the organization will distribute gift cards and door prizes to those who attend.

Donations of gift cards and checks are needed. Items can be mailed to P.O. Box 54561, Lexington, Ky. 40555. Donations can also be made by credit card at Fosteringgoodwill.org.

Fostering Goodwill provides support and resources to older foster youth as they transition from foster care to independence. This event helps give foster youth a sense of community during the holidays, which can be a difficult time since their support system is limited.
