Coroner’s van overturns in Main Street crash

A crash Friday afternoon on Main Street caused a van belonging to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office to overturn.

The crash occurred when a sport-utility vehicle moving down East Main Street collided with the passenger side of the coroner’s van, causing it to overturn and land on its side.

The deputy coroner and SUV driver involved in the crash were uninjured. Both were checked out by the Lexington Fire Department.

There was no one else in either vehicle.
