Tracking another active weather week

We have a cold front crossing the state today, touching off a morning round of strong thunderstorms. This setup will lead to a very active first week of May, as another potent storm moves in later this week.

This morning’s storms will come at us in a line from west to east. Some high winds and heavy rains are a good bet with this line. There’s a chance for a few strong or severe storms early today.
