Coroner called to fatal fire in rural Morgan County
The coroner has been called to a fatal mobile home fire in Morgan County.
Morgan County volunteer firefighters were called to a mobile home on Patrick Road, which is north of West Liberty, around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday.
The mobile home was fully engulfed by the time firefighters got there, said Drexel Patrick, the chief of the 519 Volunteer Fire Department.
One body had been discovered, Patrick said. Firefighters believe only one person lived in the mobile home but were still conducting a search for other victims Wednesday afternoon.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Patrick said.
