Father’s Day Family Celebration held at Douglass Park

The Fayette County Fatherhood Initiative hosted the 13th annual Father’s Day Family Celebration at Douglass Park on Saturday.

The event started with a men’s prayer breakfast at First African Baptist Church, followed by a family march from the church to the park for an afternoon of festivities.

The Fayette County Fatherhood Initiative exists “to restore, equip and deploy fathers in Fayette County and beyond,” according to the group’s Facebook page. It is an initiative of the Lexington Leadership Foundation, a Christian organization dedicated to meeting needs in the city.
