‘Paint the Town!’ is Saturday

Lexington’s sixth annual “Paint the Town!” will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. More than 40 plein air artists will paint outdoor cityscape scenes of their choosing in a designated downtown area.

The outdoor event will be followed by an exhibition of works and an opening reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres from 6 to 9 p.m. at Arts Place. Tickets are $25, include a drink and can be used toward the purchase of a piece of art. One ticket per artwork.

Artist Kathie Odom from Knoxville will be the judge. Awards will be given for best in show, second and third place, and people’s choice. For more information, go to Artconnectslex.org.
