Bruce Hornsby and The Noisemakers

Bruce Hornsby is back in Lexington with a band that he designed to be as versatile as his career. The group is playing at 7:30 p.m. at the Lexington Opera House at 401 W. Short St.

Last call for the Bluegrass 10K

Last chance registration and packet pickup for the Bluegrass 10K will be held from noon-7 p.m. at the Parks & Recreation Administration Offices, 469 Parkway Drive. There will also be a race packet pick-up day on Monday, July 3, from noon-6 p.m. at the Dunbar Community Center, 545 N. Upper St. No registration or packet pickup will be available on race day.

Thirty women from across the state vie to be crowned Miss Kentucky and take one step closer to being Miss America. (Trivia: The only Miss Kentucky to be crowned Miss America was Heather French Henry, in 1999.) Preliminaries are Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. ($35); finals are 7 p.m. Saturday ($65). Tickets for all three nights at the Singletary Center for the Arts are $120. (Singletarycenter.com)
