Young Achievers program honors city’s fifth- and eighth-graders
A winner from each participating Lexington elementary and middle school has been named to the Young Achievers program for the 2016-17 school year. The program recognizes fifth- and eighth-graders who serve as positive role models for their peers, demonstrate exceptional achievement in a variety of areas, exhibit good citizenship in their schools and communities, and maintain satisfactory records of school attendance and scholastic achievement.
Each winner receives a Young Achievers gold medallion, T-shirt and book bag. Students were nominated by their principal, guidance counselor, teacher or an adult leader. Holifield Photography sponsors Young Achievers in cooperation with the International Leadership Network, a nonprofit, charitable, 501(c)(3) organization. This is the program’s 27th year in Central Kentucky.
National awards are presented each year by the International Leadership Network. All school winners will be considered for these awards.
