The Bluegrass Land Conservancy, a regional land trust serving 23 counties in Central Kentucky, will host a creek clean-up in Scott County and an educational program in Fayette County.

The clean-up will be held from 9 a.m. until noon on July 19 on North Elkhorn Creek at the Riddle Farm in Scott County. Children and adults are welcome, and lunch will be provided by the Riddle family.

An educational trip and creek exploration will take place from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on July 20 at Kenan Farm in Fayette County. Kentucky Division of Water staffers Katie McKone and Jessica Schuster will lead a creek exploration to search for crawdads and small fish, and will share information on how to keep local waterways clean.

Advance registration is requested for both events; details, including event locations, will be provided upon registration. Additional information is at Bluegrassconservancy.org.
