Emerging philanthropist? This program’s for you

The Blue Grass Community Foundation has launched a 12-month anniversary celebration — 50 Years of Inspiring Generosity — aimed at emerging philanthropists.

To kick off the celebration, foundation President and CEO Lisa Adkins acknowledged a gift of $365,000 from John and Donna Hall to endow the foundation’s BGCF365 program. BGCF365 is a giving circle for emerging philanthropists, aimed at younger adults in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

Membership is open to anyone interested in learning more about charitable giving and supporting local nonprofits and causes that create positive change in Lexington. Members commit to giving $365 a year and are able to vote on grants awarded from the fund. To learn more, click here.
