Lexington commemorates 9/11
The honor guards for the Lexington police and fire departments led a wreath-laying ceremony at 9 a.m. Monday to honor police and fire personnel killed in the 9/11 attacks of 2001. The 20-minute service, which was attended by police officers, firefighters and city leaders, was held at the Memorials for Fallen Firefighters and Peace Officers in Phoenix Park on Main Street.
