Get a taste of China in the Bluegrass at Confucius Institute Day

The University of Kentucky Confucius Institute will transport Central Kentuckians to the Far East for a day of Chinese arts and culture at the institute’s third Global Confucius Institute Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in Triangle Park. This event is free and open to the public.

Visitors will be able to try Chinese calligraphy, try on traditional Chinese costumes, taste authentic Chinese cuisine, participate in a chopsticks skills competition, and enjoy a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. In addition, participants can watch tai chi and kung fu demonstrations as well as traditional Chinese musical performances.
