Lexington police graduate largest recruit class in history
Forty-eight police recruits graduated from the Lexington Police Training Academy Thursday at Tates Creek Christian Church.
Class 03-2017 is the largest recruit class in department’s history.
The class included several recruits with military experience and one recruit who had the honor of having his father, a Louisville officer, pinning the badge on his son.
“It was a joyous moment, it kind of felt surreal,” said Malcom Miller of the Louisville Police Department after he pinned the badge on his son, Andrew Miller.
