Emerge Kentucky accepts applications for Class of 2018

Emerge Kentucky, an organization that recruits and trains Democratic women to run for elected local, state and federal office, has begun recruiting for the class of 2018. Applications are available at Emergeky.org.

The multi-part application process, which includes submission of a résumé and several short essays followed by an interview, are open through Nov. 13.

Women who are accepted must be registered Kentucky Democrats and will receive 70 hours of in-depth education over a six-month period. Participants learn about public speaking, fundraising, campaign strategy, voter contact, media and messaging and will meet other women who hold elected and appointed office.
