UK fan seems stunned to learn she attends its rival

Haley Tye

After wisdom teeth surgery, a University of Kentucky fan appeared stunned at the realization that she now attends University of Louisville, according to a video circulating on social media.

Haley Tye of Winchester seemed to be experiencing the aftereffects of anesthesia and couldn’t recall where she went to school, according to the video posted on her Twitter and Facebook pages. When her mother told her she is going to University of Louisville graduate school, Tye thought her mother was talking about someone else.

With her mother filming, Tye appeared to to break down and repeatedly asked her mother through gauze-stuffed cheeks “I go to Louisville?”

She later apologized for going to graduate school at Louisville and said “I didn’t know until just now.” She had been at Louisville for a full semester as a speech pathologist student, her mother said on the recording.

Tye also exclaimed “go UK!” as well as “L’s down” and giving the gesture, which mocks the hand gesture Cardinals’ fans makes.

The video, posted on Tye’s Twitter Thursday night, has been retweeted more than 160 times and liked more than 500 times. On Facebook, the videos have been viewed thousands of times.
