Volunteers bring 12 Days of Christmas to the Hope Center

The free meal is part of the Jacobs Hope Cafeteria’s 12 Days of Christmas and was prepared by volunteers who have completed Hope Center recovery programs. The Jacobs Hope Cafeteria, which is part of the Hope Center, serves three hot meals a day to people currently part of Hope Center recovery programs, emergency shelter and residents of the The Don and Cathy Jacobs House as well as the community.

Volunteers prepared and served a meal for 200 Hope Center clients during the homeless center’s 12 Days of Christmas this week in Lexington. Former Hope Center clients and current employees at the Jacobs Hope Cafeteria helped out Wednesday evening. Volunteers brought baked goods, hygiene items, socks, gloves and hats for the clients. The evening also included holiday music and Christmas carols.
