Occupant of home shoots at intruders who kicked in the door

The occupant of a home on Old Todds Road fired shots at two males who kicked in the front door Saturday afternoon.

Lexington police Lt. Jackie Newman said police believe the incident was drug-related.

She said officers were called to the home invasion on the 200 block of Old Todds Road at about 2 p.m.

The two males who kicked in the door ran after being fired on, and it was unclear whether either of them was hit, Newman said. She said late Saturday afternoon that no one had shown up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
