Two women strolling down Midland Avenue came to a dead stop on the sidewalk Friday night and pointed to the sky.
A small plane circled overhead, and in its wake was a shape that looked suspiciously like the letter A.
What was going on up there?
Just a promotion for Airfest, an airshow going on Saturday and Sunday in Georgetown.
The event, hosted by the Georgetown-Scott County Regional Airport, includes aircraft demonstrations, on-the-ground displays and, for an additional fee, rides in a Huey helicopter or other aircraft.
Airfest runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 14 and 15. Tickets are $20 for adults. Kids 10 and under are free.
