A 22-year-old woman who was arrested earlier in the week died Thursday after being found unresponsive in her bed by Fayette County Detention Center staff.

Bridgette Mae Hall was transferred to a nearby hospital when found unresponsive at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a release from the jail. She died at 5:32 p.m. Thursday, the jail said.

Lexington police and the Fayette County Coroner’s Office are investigating the cause and manner of Hall’s death, which is undetermined. The jail will also conduct its own internal investigation, it said.
