A driver was charged in Lexington Tuesday morning after he returned to the location where a woman jumped out of his car to avoid being forced to strip.
About 7:30 a.m., a woman was being driven near Speedway on North Broadway by a man she knew when he allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it toward her, police said. The man robbed the woman and told her to undress, but the woman jumped out of the car, according to police.
The woman called police outside of the gas station, and after officers arrived, the man showed up in the same car, police said. He is accused of throwing a gun out of the window after seeing police and trying to drive away.
Police stopped the man and recovered the gun, which was stolen.
